篇一:《飘读后感英文》

My Impressions after Reading”Gone with the Wind”

——10911010330

Recently,I have just finished reading a famous novel written by Margaret mitchell—“Gone with the Wind”,which is one of the most popular works among American novels. It took the auther about 10 years to finish this great novel, the only novel in her life. The story happened during the Civil War eve.Scarlett O'Hara,a 16-year-old girl, who was living in Tala manor in Georgia, was loving her neighbor Ashley Wilkes. However, after the war have broken out, Ashley Wilkes married his yonger cousin Melanie. Scarlett was so angry that she decided to marry a man she didn‟t really love---- Charles Hamilton. Not long after that, Charles Hamilton joined the Army and died of illness in the war.So Scarlett had to act as a widow.Afterwards,at a donating dance party,Scarlett is acquainted with a captain named Rhett Butler. Then the flames of war approached Atlanta.Everyone was busy leaving away from the war.Scarlett managed to escape from Atlanta with the help of captain Rhett.Having come back to Tala manor,Scarlett made up her mind to rally her homeland at any cost when she saw that the former manor had been ruined.Later, her second husband died in the fight, she was a widow again.Durling that time, Rhett had been loving Scarlett sincerely and warmly.Seeing that Rhett could help her rally the manor,Scarlett married

him.Although Rhett had similar characteristic attracting her,Scarlett still loved Ashley.Later, their only daughter died accidently,Rhett left Scarlett sorrowly. And then Scarlett realized that Rhett was the only one who could fall in love with her.

The novel takes the US Civil War as the background. It takes Scarlett‟s individual activity as the thread. The book show us a tragic love story .A couple who could have a perfect future, but finnally go in opposite direction. As a matter of fact, their charactristics have decided their tragic result inevitably. We feel sorry about the end because we are looking forward to a perfect end, just like Scarlett and Rhett. In fact, ferfect is always a excessive damand.最简单的读后感英语

I affirm Rhett. He brings excitement to Scarlett‟s life and encourages her impulse to change and succeed.Like Scarlett,he goes after what he wants and refuses to take „no‟ for an answer. He is humorous, intelligent and cynical with a hint of treason. He is really a respectable man.I think he finnally left because of love .Otherwise,he couldn‟t have gone without hesitation.

Ashley Wilkes is the foil to Rhett‟s dark, realistic opportunism. If there was no Civil War,he is surely a nobility of grace and charm. But history cannot be changed. He bocame a victim of the war.His era was gone with the defeat of the war.At the same time,we cannot deny the

fact that he had a chear understanding about reality, which just contribute to his tragedy.

In this book, what I appreciate most is not Melanie‟skindness or Rheet‟s dedication and patience, but Scarlett‟s courage to throw her long-standing morality and tradition whe faced with diffiiculties. At the beginning of the war,she didn‟t care about this.In her world are endless dinner parties and dance parties. In her body are her father‟s brave Irish blood and her mother‟s noble French pure blood. She had a vast farm as her home. She had hundreds of slaves. This is Scarlett.,a member of noblity, proud and different. However, the war changed everything. Her mother died of illness. Her father become silent and the farm was nearly deserted.Even food became a big problem. All the pressure was put on Scarlett‟s shoulder. She must feed a family of 9 people in it.What a big difference of level. If all this happened to someone else,he or she may choose to escape. On the contrary,Scarlett choose to face the change of life bravely. How can we not admire her courage of to change herself.Life is like a mountain. The road can‟t be completely smooth. When we fall down from the peak,we may get hert ,we may get disappointed,we may feel despair. But if you want to survive, you must stand up to face it.

It is obvious that <<Gone with the wind>> is really a good book, even if a long time has passed away,it is still suitable for today‟s

society. It is of great importance to change ourselves, change our value even our thoughts when our life chages.

On the other hand,I think there is no real perfect in the world.Everybody has his shortcomings. It is necessary for us to learn to forgive others‟ faults. If we keep good-tempered,Ibelieve there will be more comedy and less tragedy.

英文版读后感

miss austen never attempts to describe a scene or a class of society with which she was not herself thoroughly acquainted. the conversations of ladies with ladies, or of ladies and gentlemen

together, are given, but no instance occurs of a scene in which men only are present. the uniform quality of her work is one most

remarkable point to be observed in it. let a volume be opened at any place: there is the same good english, the same refined style, the same simplicity and truth. there is never any deviation into the unnatural or exaggerated; and how worthy of all love and respect is the finely disciplined genius which rejects the forcible but

transient modes of stimulating interest which can so easily be employed when desired, and which knows how to trust to the never-failing principles of human nature! this very trust has sometimes been made an objection to miss austen, and she has been accused of writing dull stories about ordinary people. but her supposed ordinary people are really not such very ordinary people. let anyone who is inclined to criticise on this score endeavor to construct one

character from among the ordinary people of his own acquaintance that shall be capable of interesting any reader for ten minutes. it will then be found how great has been the discrimination of miss austen in the selection of her characters, and how skillful is her treatment in the management of them. it is true that the events are for the most part those of daily life, and the feelings are those connected with the usual joys and griefs of familiar existence; but these are the very events and feelings upon which the happiness or misery of most of us depends; and the field which embraces them, to the exclusion of the wonderful, the sentimental, and the historical, is surely large enough, as it certainly admits of the most profitable cultivation. in

the end, too, the novel of daily real life is that of which we are least apt to weary: a round of fancy balls would tire the most vigorous admirers of variety in costume, and the return to plain clothes would be hailed with greater delight than their occasional relinquishment ever gives. miss austen's personages are always in plain clothes, but no two suits are alike: all are worn with their appropriate differen as we should expect from such a life, jane austen's view of the world is genial, kindly, and, we repeat, free from anything like cynicism. it is that of a clear-sighted and最简单的读后感英语

somewhat satirical onlooker, loving what deserves love, and amusing herself with the foibles, the self-deceptions, the affectations of humanity. refined almost to fastidiousness, she is hard upon

vulgarity; not, however, on good-natured vulgarity, such as that of mrs. jennings in "sense and sensibility," but on vulgarity like that of miss steele, in the same novel, combined at once with effrontery and with meanness of soul....

jane eyre, is a poor but aspiring, small in body but huge in soul, obscure but self-respecting girl. after we close the covers of the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, jane eyre, a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think:最简单的读后感英语版

we remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded in eyes, for someone who despised her for her ordinariness, and even for someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.

we remember her pursuit of justice. it’s like a companion with the goodness. but still, a virtuous person should promote the

goodness on one side and must check the badness on the other side.

we remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality. in her opinion, everyone is the same at the god’s feet. though there are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality.

we also remember her striving for life, her toughness and her confidence…

when we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty face or a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but a huge charm of her personality.

actually, she wasn’t pretty, and of course, the ordinary

appearance didn’t make others feel good of her, even her own aunt felt disgusted with it. and some others even thought that she was easy to look down on and to tease, so when miss ingram met jane eyre, she seemed quite contemptuous, for that she was obviously much more prettier than ‘the plain and ugly governess’. but as the little

governess had said: ‘do you think, because i am poor, obscure, plain, and little, i am soulless and heartless? you think wrong!’ this is the idea of equality in jane eyre’s mind. god hadn’t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, god gave her a kind mind and a

thinking brain. her idea of equality and self-respect impress us so much and let us feel the power inside her body.

in my mind, though a person’s beauty on the face can make others once feel that one is attractive and charming, if his or her mind isn’t the same beautiful as the appearance, such as beauty cannot last for, when others find that the beauty which had charmed them was only a falsity, it’s not true, they will like the person no more. for a long time, only a person’s great virtue, a noble soul, a

beautiful heart can be called as an everlasting beauty, just as

kahill gibran has said, that ‘beauty is a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted’. i can feel that how beauty really is, as we are all fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of nobleness or humbleness, but fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of nobleness or humbleness, but as there are great differences in our souls, and from that, we can know that whether a man is noble or ordinary, and even obscure, that is, whether he is beautiful or not.

her story makes us thinking about life and we learn much from her experience, at least, that is a fresh new recognition of the real beauty

我的英文读后感----《简爱》as jane eyre, in her plainness and solitude, walks to and fro in the thornfield hall, her unfortunate childhood, conflicting love, and religious forbiddance all cannot stop her seeking a better life and cherishing the human nature. she broke loose the chains that jailed her spirit, and through her

struggles she overcame the poverty, customs, social standards, and piety which all blocked her from her dream of happiness, and finally became the master of herself! it could be said that jane's life was earned through retaliation and pursuit, that she fought tooth and

nail until the sunlight was won. the sunlight now in her palm, shines brightly unto her!

in fact, one has endless thoughts for the most effulgent sunbeam that shines after the storm. i always think in a difficult situation, if and when the hardships of this life is done, if and when the road of time no longer curves, if and when i try my best to walk to the end, will i be able to see the blinding sunlight? for the most最简单的读后感英语版

篇三:《最后的莫希干人读后感 英文版》

The Last One of Mohegan

The story happened under the background of the Britain and France fighting for the American colonies. And the war turned into white-hot; the circumstance of the Indian sank into dilemma. There are two options for them, to fight for the colonists or to wait for the fate to die out. And there are still last three Mohegan in the world. And among them there is a white man who was adopted by an old Mohegan. And on their hunting way to north, they ran into the war in which the Hurons which were under the control of French colonists were attacking the English officer and two daughters of an English general. And the three Mohegan helped them to defend the Hurons. Then in the battle of William Hamburg, the English colonists were defeated. And French army accepted English army’s surrender. But the Hurons who once massacred by the English colonists would not forgive them easily. And the Hurons wanted to kill the two daughters of the general. So the three Mohegan embarked on the road to protect the two girls. Finally, the white Mohegan fell in love with the older daughter of the general.

From this story we can see confliction between colonization and anti-colonization, repression and freedom, colonists and aborigines. Farther more, the white Mohegan’s desire to fight for freedom and his lover touched us a lot. The background of the story

made the readers feel a strong breathing of epic.At the end of the story, their unbending spirit of looking for freedom made the readers know more about the deep emotions of aborigines.

The fighting between aborigines was wild and lamentable. In order to survive, they had to fight like animals, and did not realize that they were just the tools of the colonists to occupy more lands. The blood of them was the strongest evidence of the evil of the colonialism. The most righteous men among the aborigines were the last three Mohegan. The biggest difference between the three Mohegan and other aborigines was that they kept a clear mind and the freedom of character. They did not choice any side and keep a balance life style. And under this life belief they keep a strong and unyielding spirit. And one day there will be no more frontier. And men like you will go too, like the Mohicans. And new people will come, work, struggle. Some will make their life. But once, we were here.

篇四:《平凡的世界英文读后感》

the man who is working is the happiest one in the world, no matter in which period。 that?s a truth the book ordinary world wants to tell us。 it?s loudly gives out the slogan, as a human, despair the position, as long as you have a burning heart, you will beloved by the life。 everybody in the world should love their work。平凡的世界英文读后感。 one can be ordinary, but can not be mediocre。 only be a worker, and use one?s sincere heart to taste the life and experience, can we truly being alive。 we have only one life。 this is a book written by life。 there is a kind of ordinary sound flood in the earth and universe。

the book?s time span lasts from the 1975 to 1985, the turbulent years in chinese history。 the story happened in a small village called shuangshui village。平凡的世界英文读后感。 almost the whole book is describe the life and people in shuangshui village。 during that ten years, the cultural revolution has came to an end, deng xiaoping came into power,a new mode of production-- household contract responsibility system with remuneration linked to output has came out。 all of these changes lead to the happen of the story。 shungshui village and it?s people is just like a miniature picture of the whole china and it?s people。 the book included every aspect of the society that time。 lu yao wanted to use a kind of realism style of writing to draw the outline of a great social picture scroll。 in the scroll, everyone in different stratum is lifelike in both characters and features。 this is an important point, because of lu yao ?s consummate novel skill and the deadly serious writing attitude, this novel turned into one of the best teacher aids of that period history。

the pedagogical meaning i get from this book is a kind of profound understanding to the peasant in our own country。 the younger generation in the modern city is very hard to figure out the meaning of this point, because they are far away from the real country life。 peasants? life, peasants? thought ,the days peasant?s had and now and the future, all of these are quite unfamiliar to most of us。 then this book can be regarded as a bridge, we can indirectly gain a better understanding of the real country from this book and that?s the function of books。 the book perfectly draw a picture of that time, it reflects the pleasure, the anger, the sorrow, and the passions of the peasants。 after finished the book, we can say we experienced that period in one sense。 we had ever worked in a filed, the sweat poured like rains from our face and we had ever loved someone ,lost someone。 all of these cane from the book。 the practical significance of the book sets on the current situation and historic continuity of china; sets on the hope of the future and the development of our young generation; sets on the understanding of china and the people。

on the other hand, i do really like lu yao?s starting point---ordinary world。 their world is ordinary, this is just one of the tens of thousands of villages in loess plateau。 but lu yao have seen the character out of the mon in the protagonists。 take sun shaoping as an example, he had a secondary education and through a self-study came to a undergraduate level。 the author put many excellent qualities to this leading role。 all the roles in lu yao?s novel are ordinary people, but all the marvelous characters in their body made them different。

life is an outward journey and there is not much time for us to squander, to grieve or to feel depressed。 it will be spineless to give up our hope。 just like the famous sentence ?though the torches is drooping, the fire is burning up?。 even the most ordinary people should fight for his life。
