(Translation)

Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and Spring Festival are three major holidays in China. The traditional food for these three festivals is different from the daily diet both in quantity and in quality. On these occasions, the food with long history and symbolic meaning is indispensable. For example, dragon boat festival is created to commemorate Qu Yuan, an ancient poet. On that day, people usually eat rice dumplings wrapped with leaves. Mid-autumn festival is a holiday for people to enjoy the sight of the full moon, thus the special food for this day is moon cake. Spring festival is Chinese new year on lunar calendar, so people cook the traditional dish like jiaozi.
