一、句子翻译的类型

初中阶段的句子翻译题主要指"将汉语句子译成英语"，其常见的类型有：①根据汉语提示补全句子(每空一词)；②根据汉语意思和英语提示词语，写出语法正确的句子(所给的英文必须都用上)；③根据所给提示词,将下列各句译成英语；④根据部分汉语提示完成句子等。

2011年试卷从总体难度而言与去年相比下降不少，但又有新颖的创新点，五道题目围绕新来的英语老师展开，环环相扣，形成一篇简短而完整的小故事，这给 “准初三”同学们指明了今后中考的命题方向，下面谨对今年的翻译题目做详细剖析，方便同学们更好地备战2012年中考。

今年的五道翻译题目中，内容涉及到简单句和并列句，其中又以陈述句为主，祈使句为辅。

同时考查了ask sb. to do sth.（要求某人做某事）, spend some time （in）doing sth.(花费时间做某事), to do作目的状语，hand in(上交) ，at least(至少)等常用句式、短语，内容紧扣教材，设题平和。

其次应要根据句中的时间状语或上下文的语境确定句子所需要的时态，同时应根据主语与谓语动词的关系确定正确的语态。如“他现在不在这里。他到美国去了”。第一句话用一般现在时，第二句话则应该用现在完成时，即He isn’t here now. He has gone to America. 有主从复合句时应注意主句与从句之间的时态一致，特别应注意在时间状语从句中和条件状语从句中要用一般现在时代替一般将来时。

最后应注意一些细节问题，如名词的单复数是否有误，动词的第三人称单数或过去式是否正确以及单词拼写是否有误。

I. 认真审题，确定词义。

审题包括"审"英语、汉语两部分内容。审英语部分时(跳过空格)读一下已经给出的那一部分，然后再仔细分析一下要求翻译的英语；审汉语部分时，了解汉语句子(或所给的汉语部分)所要表达的意思，然后联想一下相关词汇和句型，再考虑时态、词形变化、人称与数的一致性等问题。

II. 分析辨别，确定词性。

同学们在做"句子翻译"这种题型时，要切忌一知半解，不要轻易动笔答题。英语中有许多意义相同的词或短语对这些貌似相同实则大相径庭的词、短语的用法，我们就得从分析句子结构入手，认真辨别，仔细分析，判断该词或短语在句中作何成分来定。例如： III. 根据空格数，考虑词汇。

解句子翻译题时，有时要求每空一词。故做题时还需要注意词数、有伸缩的词汇和结构，否则多填或少填都是错误的，即使意思符合也不合要求。有些词的缩写可写在一个空格内，

如：isn't, let's,what're等；也可将缩略式展开，分写进几个空格，如I'm→I am, there're→there are, no→not a(an)/any 等。

IV. 灵活运用，切忌呆板。

句子翻译虽然是有条件的翻译，但多种表达方式还是存在的，尤其适合没有词数限制的句子。所以，一旦某种方式表达不出来时，应另寻它法。只要意思相符，另辟"蹊径"也不失为一妙法。

V. 通盘考虑，切忌顾此失彼。

做句子翻译题时，常涉及到词汇变化。它主要包括名词的单复数、动词的时态(常考虑一般现在时、现在进行时，尤其是动词第三人称单数形式)、非谓语动词(主要是do/to do，V-ing)形式及形容词与副词的选择等。因此解题时，应通盘考虑，切忌不可顾此失彼。例如：

同学们，以上所介绍的技巧只是帮助大家解题时少走弯路。句子翻译等主观题型在未来的能力测试中所占的比例会日趋增大。所以我们从现在起熟练地掌握常用词、词组的用法，掌握句型结构，语法知识和习惯表达等，注意汉英两种语言的表达差异，加强此类题的训练，做题时我们就会得心应手了。

二、实例分析

请看以下实例(根据所给中文，完成相应的英语句子，1—5题每空限填空一词，6—10题每空所填词数不限)

1. 老师经常告诉我们遇到困难的时候，不要灰心。

The teacher often tell us _______ _______ _______ _______ when we are in trouble. 【解析】此题易误填 don’t lose our hearts。这是由于句式不清和思维定势的影响引起的。一些同学把空格处误认为是谓语，因而就用了don’t lose；又因为学了do our homework, have their supper等影响而误填为lose our hearts。其实这里考查的是tell sb. (not) to do sth. 以及lose heart这两个结构。正确答案为not to lose heart。

2. 在他的帮助下，我在英语方面取得了巨大的进步。
