三、教学过程

I. Warming up

1. T: What’s your favorite fruit?

II. Lead-in

T: Great, those taste nice. Today we are going to learn how to make a banana milk shake. How many bananas do we need? How much milk do we need?

Teacher shows the pictures to students, and makes students know the process of making milk shake. Then write down the key words on the blackboard.

2. Do 1a. Ask Ss to write the names of the actions. Choose the correct words. Ask Ss to fill in the blanks on their own. Then check the answers.

3. Teach the names of all items. Point to the pictures of the items and ask students to repeat.

Focus on the pictures. Ask the students to tell what they see in the picture. Describe each action and ask students to repeat the following:

peel the bananas, cut up the bananas, put the bananas and the , milk in the blender, pour the milk in the blender, Turn on the blender; drink the milk shake.

4. Point out the actions in the picture and the list of actions in activity 1b .

Play the recording and check the answers. Ask students to recite the conversation at once.

一、 单元教材分析

本单元是围绕“如何制作香蕉奶昔”为话题展开的,我们在前面已经学习了一些祈使句的用法,因此本单元是对祈使句的深化和延深,通过讲述制做过程和步骤,如何听懂指令、通过听与说的训练,学会准确地判断指令,有序地处理事情,通过动手实际操作,培养和锻炼学生生活能力,且本单元是一个有兴趣,愉悦的话题,无疑还会提高学生运用英语的兴趣和交际能力,对提高学生的办事能力,办事的条理性具有举足轻重的作用。

二、 单元教学目标

1. 功能:描述做一件事的过程,根据引导做事。

2. 语法:how many 与how much 引导的特殊疑问句,表示顺序的副词的用法,以及制做过程的祈使句表达方式。可数名词与不可数名词。

3. 语言目标:

How do you make a banana milk shake?

Step 2. Lead-in

Teacher shows some pictures of new words, and let the students to guess how to say these things in English. Then, write down the new words on the blackboard, and ask the students to read.

For example:

T: What are these? They’re blenders. What do we usually use them to do? Ss: To make juice.

T: It is said that banana milk shake is very delicious. Which picture is it? Ss: The second one.

Step 3. Practice the new words

Ask the students to finish the task of 1a, and then, let the students to talk about their answer in groups. Check the answers, and ask the students: What do those sentences tell us? Help the students to answer: They tell us how to make a banana milk shake.

Step 4 Listening

1. Before listening, read the sentences together, get the general idea of the key information. And then, listen and put the instructions in order. Then, check the answers. Listen again, ask the students to read after the record.

2. Teacher shows pictures of the process of making a banana milk shake, and asks the students to work in pairs to talk about how to make a banana milk shake without looking at the instructions on the book.

For example:

T: Now, we all know how to make a banana milk shake. Can you tell your partner about it? Look at the pictures on the screen, they shows the process. Please work in pairs as the example in 1c, without looking at the book.

Then, ask some students to show their conversations.

3. Before listening, teacher shows the picture of 2a on the screen, and asks the students to pay attention to the two questions. Then check the answers.

For example:

T: Look at the picture of 2a. There are some ingredients to make salad in the picture. What are they?

Ss: Yogurt, apples, honey, bananas, watermelon, oranges.

T: OK. Now listen to the record and fill these words in the form, pay attention to the questions lead by “how many” and “how much”, and their difference.

4. Listen again, finish the task in 2b. Then, explain the difference between “how many” and “how much”.

For example:

T: Some words like honey and yogurt are uncountable nouns. Others like apples are countable nouns. We use countable nouns after how many, and we use uncountable nouns after how much.

Step 5 Role-play the conversation.

1. Teacher shows a group of pictures of making fruit salad. Ask the students to say each step of the process in English. Then read the conversation in 2c together. And then, ask the students to make conversations in pairs according to the pictures and the example in 2c.

2. Role-play the conversation in pairs in front of the class.

VI. Homework
