Kevin：I think the company has finally made a profit.
我觉得公司已经恢复盈利了。
Jordan: That’s great news!
这真是个好消息!
Kevin：We’re all getting raises and bonuses this year.
今年公司能给我们加薪了，而且我们还能得到奖金。
Jordan: That makes me very happy.
听到这个消息，我好开心啊。
Kevin：Me too. We haven’t had raises in four years.
我也是。公司四年来都没有给我们加过薪了。
Jordan: We’ve never had bonuses.
也从来没有奖金。
Kevin：That’s right!
是啊!
Jordan: If the company is doing well financially, we should definitely receive some benefits.
如果公司财务状况良好的话，我们一定能从中受益的。
Kevin：I agree. We work really hard.
同意。我们工作真的很努力。
Jordan: Let’s celebrate over drinks after work.
让我们下班后去喝酒庆祝吧。
小茶笔记：
① back in the black：利润得到回升，恢复盈利
② make a profit：获利，创利，赚钱
③ get raise：(员工得到)加薪，涨工资;而give a raise(公司给员工)加薪;同近义词：pay increase，salary raise/raise in salary，wage hike……
④ that’s great/good/happy news: 好消息，真是个好消息
⑤ bonus ['bonəs]：奖金，红利，津贴
⑥ make sb后面的三种形式：
make sb.+ adj.： 让某人adj=make sb.done，如make you surprised让你吃惊
make sb. + n. 让某人做n. 如make Jim monitor让吉姆做班长
还有就是make sb. do sth，如make me feel bad
⑦ ...doing well financially表示“财务状况(很)好”，do well： 做得好，进展好， financially [faɪ'nænʃəli]：财政的，财务的，金融的。这种表达大家记住就行了。
⑧ celebrate over：以(做)……来庆祝→表示一种“方式”，如文中celebrate over drinks：喝酒庆祝
