Environmental pollution is a term that refers to allthe ways by which man pollutes his surroundings. 环境污染是指人们用各种方式污染周围环境的一个术语。

Man dirties the air with gases and smoke, poisonsthe water with chemicals and other substances, anddamages the soil with too many fertilizers andpesticides. 人们通过气体和烟雾来污染空气,用化学物质以及其他物质污染水源,还用大量的化肥和杀虫剂破坏土壤。

摘 要:情感态度在很多方面直接或间接地影响着语言学习,对小学英语学习的影响则更加明显。小学阶段是学生心理蓬勃发展的时期,积极向上的情感有助于学生积极参加语言学习活动,有利于学生提高学习效果。

关键词:小学英语;情感态度;学习兴趣;师生关系

《义务教育英语课程标准》指出,情感态度影响学生学习过程和学习效果的相关因素以及在学习过程中逐渐形成的祖国意识和国际视野。保持积极的学习态度是英语学习成功的关键。作为小学英语教师,我们应在教学中,不断激发并强化学生的学习兴趣,并引导他们逐渐将兴趣转化为稳定的学习动机,以使他们树立自信心,锻炼克服困难的意志,认识自己学习的优势与不足,乐于与他人合作,养成和谐和健康向上的品格。那么,我们该从哪些方面来发现并切入这些情感目标呢?通过平时的教学实践及几年来积累的教学经验,我认为有以下几个方面。

一、浓厚的学习兴趣是积极情感的源泉

布卢姆认为:“成功的外语课堂应当在课内创设更多的情境,让学生有机会运用已学到的语言材料。”只有这样,学生才能对所学的语言有进一步的认识,体会到它的用处,从而激发起他们对英语学习的更大热情。回想自己的英语课堂教学,几乎每堂课都有我给学生设定的情境。例如,在学习牛津小学英语6A Unit 3 Ask the way以后,我就会给学生提供一个当导游的机会,让学生在介绍路线的同时复习巩固所学语句和知识。小学生的形象思维比较灵活,他们关注贴近生活的物品。在教学过程中,如果能适当地出示生活中的实物或者实物模型,可切实提高操练效果。再如,5A Unit 4 Halloween,万圣节是西方的鬼节,节日期间人们会举办化妆晚会,小孩会提着南瓜灯游玩或拿着提篓去挨家挨户讨糖吃,但是我们中国的孩子并不熟悉,如果直接生硬地搬出课文,势必会让学生产生畏难情绪,在此,我们可以猜想如果哪户人家不给小孩糖果吃,当地的小孩会怎样呢?让学生发挥想象,然后再告诉他们当地的小孩玩的这个游戏叫Trick or treat,并介绍万圣节的来历和南瓜灯的故事。在这样的情境中,学生必然兴趣大增,就能更好地理解、把握课文了。

二、丰富的教材内容是挖掘情感的宝地

《牛津小学英语》教材以学生的发展为宗旨,以提高学生的综合素质为目标,注重培养学生的学习兴趣、学习自信心、良好的学习习惯、有效的学习方法和自主学习能力。深入教材,我们不难发现,每个单元实则都隐藏着丰富的情感教育目标,我们可以联系现实中的人和事,随机进行教育。

1.文明礼仪是中华民族的传统美德

如,学生刚接触英语时就会学“Hello”“Hi”“Good morning”“Good afternoon”“Nice to meet you”“Bye”等等打招呼的句子,那我会要求孩子们将这些礼貌用语应用到平时的生活中。

2.保护环境,人人有责

如,学习6B Unit 5 Seasons虽然本课重点讨论的是纽约的天气,但我们可以激发学生对大自然的热爱,并呼吁人们保护地球、保护生态环境的情感,从而使英语学习提升一个台阶。

3.培养学生友爱伙伴、关爱家人的情感

如,学习6A Unit 2 Ben’s birthday后,通过提问When is your birthday?引申到When is your mother’s/father’s birthday?引出要关爱孝敬父母的情感,记得父母的生日并不难,难得是要懂得真正关心父母,从小养成关爱家人的品格。

4.学会合理规划时间

如,5B Unit 7 A busy day通过展现大卫忙碌的一天,来提醒学生时间是宝贵的,我们要学会珍惜时间,并对时间做一个合理的规划,在学习生活上做到劳逸结合。

三、和谐的师生关系是真实情感的升华

亲其师,信其道。学生亲近你、喜欢你,就会在你的课中与你互动、交流,从而对你所教的课产生兴趣。反之,学生讨厌你,就不会认真上你的课,甚至会在你的课上捣乱。所以,和谐的师生关系是学生勤奋学习的保证。善待后进生,人的个性差异决定了每个班都会有后进生,且现在后进生越来越多,如何跟后进生相处也是和谐师生关系的重要一环。我们班有42名学生,而后进生就有十来个,其中最为落后的要数小陈,语数外三门功课加起来都不满60分,但我始终没有把小陈当作特例看,也没有将她置之班级的角落不管,她还是和其他同学一样每天完成该完成的作业,订正该订正的,背诵该背诵的,尽管她的成绩起色很慢。但她其实并不是弱者,也不调皮捣蛋,还能默默为班级奉献。瞧,她在校运动会上获得了女子一百米第二名、铅球第三名的好成绩。在班级开展的主题班会上,她忙前忙后为同学搬桌椅、擦黑板。这样的例子绝不少见。

其实,并非每个孩子都适宜在这种以应试为目的的教育环境中成长,只有当教师的我们摆正心态,将每个孩子一视同仁,和谐的师生关系才会体现与升华。

正如情感态度本身是多变的一样,情感态度培养的途径也是多样的,因生而异,因材施教,我相信,只要我们心中有爱,找准情感目标的切入点,我们的每堂课必将充满灿烂的欢笑,我们的每一年都将收获沉甸甸的果实!
