  Step 2: Learn the new words.
  1. Teacher show a picture about the great wall.(图片上有长城,建筑物和一些花草树木) and ask: what’s this?
  Ss: It’s the great wall.
  T: ( point to the building) what’s this?
  Ss: it’s a building.
  T: yes, building, building, this is a building.
  让学生操练building 这个单词。
  其他单词同样用图片呈现的方法教授玩。
  2. Play the game: Pass the cards. (让学生传递单词卡片,全体学生一起说这个单词10次或是5次,传到那个同学那里,那个同学就起来用这个单词造个句子)
  Step 3: Learn the new sentences.
  3.导入新句型的学习:
  The teacher show a picture: The Great Wall. Say: do you know what is it?
  Ss: It’s the great wall.
  T: Do you know how long is it?
  S1. it’s…..
  S2:it’s……
  S3: it’s ten thousand li long.
  T: yes you can say it’s five thousand kilometers.
  T: so do you know how old is it?
  S1: it’s …..
  S2: it’s…..
  S3:it’s two thousand years old.
  T: Yes, it’s more than two thousand years old. So the Great Wall is the longest wall in the world. We should be proud of China.( 在这一环节中抓住这一契机对学生进行德育渗透,让学生爱自己的祖国,通过长城的学习让学生知道中国几千年的文明历史。)
  Then the teacher show another pictures and ask the questions:( 如:学校、街道、尺子、大笨钟。。。。。图片的背面是它的长度和年龄的数字) How long is it? How old is it?
  T: So you can guess the answers. If your answer is right ,so you can get a gift .
  S1: it’s …..long. it’s ……years old.
  S2: it’s …..long. it’s ……years old.
  ……..
  T: oh, your answer is right. ( 老师把图片翻过来对一对学生给出的答案是否接近正确答案。并给最接近答案的孩子奖励。)
  4. 句型操练:
  T:ok, now you can pick a thing, and ask your partner using this new sentences. For example: ………(老师和一个基础比较好的学生进行对话示范)
  Now, please pair work, after 2 minutes, have some students say the dialogue.
  Step4: Learn the new words。
  1. Listen and find out the question sentences.
  Can we walk all of the great wall?
  How long is it?
  How old is it?
  2. Listen and answer the questions. ( 为了提高孩子的理解能力,老师还可以提出更多的问题让学生回答,如:what are they talking about? How old is the moon? ………)
  3. Listen and repeat together.
  4. Listen and repeat again. Have some students say out the sentences one by one.
  5. Read the dialoge . ( Group A is Simon, Group B is Daming.)
  6. Pair work.
  7. show the results, and give the best group a gift.
  Step 5. Practice.
  1. Teacher show the pictures: desk, classroom, street, theSummer Palace, your school, your city, the moon. Then have the student make a dialogue.
  2. The students can choose a picture to make a dialogue.
  3. Act it out
  4. If possible, the teacher show another pictures have the students make some new dialogues.
  Step 6 :Activity book.
  1. Ok, turn to page 2 and finish the pare 1 and part 3.
  2. Check the answer.
  Step 7: Homework
  1.完成课堂活动用书第三题。
  2.背诵新单词和新课文。
  3.在一张纸上画一副自己喜欢的建筑物,在背面写上他的长度或高度,年龄。方法策略
  复习数字和长度单位可以让学生很快进入学习状态,同时为下面的学习打下铺垫,同时让学生对生活中的长度单位有一个初步的认识。
  单词的呈现方式简单有助于节约实践,游戏活动的设计提高学生学习的热情,同时让站起来的学生造句有助于帮助学生对新知识的进一步掌握。
  贴近生活的导入可以让学生感觉英语学习的真实。
  这一环节让学生自己去找问题,可以改变以前那样总是由老师提问学生回答的模式,可以让学生自己提出问题,自己解决问题。这样可以提高学生自学的能力。
  拓展练习时也可以让学生不说图片,说自己看到的生活中存在的一切事物,以活跃学生的思维,而不是局限在老师设计的圈套里。二次备课

  Ability: The students can describe the buildings. eg. school, bridge, Great Wall, Big ben….

  1. The teacher show the words to revise them,then ask the students to spell them, teacher write them on the board.
  2. Revise the sentences in unit 1.
  Show the picture: the great wall . then ask: how long is it? How old is it?
  3. Then show building and ask the question: how tall is the building?
  Have the students answer it using the sentence: it’s ………tall.
  4. Teacher write the title: it’s twenty metres tall.
  Step 2. Learn the part 1.
  1. listen and answer the questions:
  what’s the building?
  How tall is the building?
  How old is the clock? (此时老师对tall 和 high 的用法做一个简单的介绍和练习。)
  2. listen and check the answer.
  3. listen and repeat.
  4. role play. Daming ------simon.
  5. ok, let’s read the dialogue again.
  Step 3. learn the part 2 and part 3.
  1. the teacher show the pictures one by one. ( the great wall, old building, new building, river thames, tower bridge ) then teach the words.
  So that have the students can read them out.
  2.Teacher put the pictures on the board ,ask the questions and have the students guess the answer,teacher write the numbers under the pictures.
  Questions: how old is the great wall?
  How long is the tower bridge?
  How tall is the old building?
  How old id the new building?
  How long is the river thames?
  3. listen and check the answers, give the winner to draw a 泡.
  4.listen and point or listen and numbers.
  5.Read the sentences.
  Step 4.learn the part 4: listen and say, then sing.
  1. listen and read the song.
  2. listen and mime the intonation.
  3. sing the song with the music.
  4. sing the song without the music.
  5. sing the song together
  唱歌可以活跃课堂气氛,同时也可以让紧张的神经放松一下,有利于下一步学生能更加有热情投入学习。
  Step 5. learn the part 5:game : guess the famous place.
  1. have the students read the dialogue and understand the meaning of the game.
  2. make an example between a good student and teacher.
  3. have a student come to the front the classroom and think of the famous place. Another students guess what’s the place.
  4. if possible, have more students play the game or play the game in the groups.
  Step 6. activity book.
  1. finish the part 1: crossword.
  2. finish the part 3 :listen and circle the correct answer.
  Step 7. homework
  1. finish the part 4: write .
  2. draw a place which is the most beautiful in our city and write some sentences.
  3. recite the words and dialogue.方法策略
  让学生充分发挥自己的想象力或是利用课外知识回答此题,以此引出此课要学习的重点句型。
  老师把学生分成男生女生两组进行竞猜游戏,先猜出这些建筑物的高度,长度和年龄并写在相应的图片下面,然后老师放录音和学生一起检查他们给出的答案谁组的答案更接近正确答案,谁组就可以在鱼儿的嘴巴上吐个泡泡。
  游戏活动的设计增加趣味性,让学生真正进入角色,变成课堂的主人。二次备课

  语言功能:描述建筑物
  学习任务:How long is the Great Wall? It’s ten thousand Li long.
  How old is the Great Wall? It’s more than two thousand years old.
  运用任务:给图片配写英文介绍:收集旅行时拍摄的各地照片或者网络图片,为各地的标志性建筑物配写简单说明;小组讨论自己最喜欢的一处景点(或建筑物);同学互相赠送风景明信片:在明信片的背后注上简短英文说明。
  模块分析:Uint1创设了Daming向Simon介绍长城的情景,复习了以前学习过的句型How long…?How old…?并练习用长度高度和时间来描述物体。Unit2则以游戏和歌曲的形式进一步练习和巩固知识点以及语言的运用,应重点掌握“listen and repeat”中对建筑物的简短描述。
  二、活动
  活动1:猜谜
  活动目的:巩固句型,训练孩子听力,培养观察力。
  活动准备:教师需要提前熟悉所准备的几个规定范围。
  活动过程:教师在规定范围内,向全体学生描述出指定物体(或建筑物)的长短(或高矮)或者修建(或使用)时间,请学生猜出该物体(建筑物),首先回答正确的学生得到老师的小奖励。例如;以教室为规定范围,教师可描述一块黑板的长度和高度(如果学生猜不出,可以加上颜色或者大小的描述),让学生举手回答老师所描述的是教室里的什么东西。
  活动2: 估算
  活动目的:巩固和练习句型,培养孩子说的能力以及运用数学常识估算周围事物的能力。
  活动准备:一些具备不同长度高度和历史时间的实物或者图片。
  活动过程:教师逐个出示准备好的实物或者图片,请学生目测实物或者图片里的物体的长度,高度或历史时间,可分小组进行比赛后,各组回答完毕后宣布答案,最接近正确答案的小组加一分。
  活动3:经典建筑物展
  活动目的:熟悉各国著名建筑物,从写这个方面来巩固本模块重点句型。
  活动准备:一套中国、日本、美国、法国、埃及、英国等国国旗图片;一套与其相对应的各国标志性建筑物的图片(也可让学生自行收集);一套小的空白卡片。
  活动过程:教师可提前告诉学生将制作一期“各国经典建筑物展”,让学生课后收集相关图片以及建筑物的资料。制作展板的时候采取小组合作的方式,以小组为单位,不同分工,读写能力较好的同学负责写建筑物的英文说明;书法好的同学负责抄写;其他同学可负责剪,粘贴和装饰。最后,展板内容最丰富齐全,设计新颖的小组获胜。将展板置于走廊或其他成果展示处,供大家互相学习,互相欣赏。二次备课

  2. Ok, listen, daming went to the chinatowm, can guess :what did he see? What did he eat? And what did he do? Then the students guess the answer so that the students can understand the meaning of the letter.
  3. Listen and fill in in the blanks .
