1. Are you and Matt an item?
你跟 Matt 是一对吗?
用来询问两个人是不是在一起的口语问法有许多种，常见的有："Are you going out with him?""Have you been seeing each other?"或是 "Are you dating?"都十分好用。这里再给大家介绍一个俚语的讲法：Are you an item? 也是指"你们是不是一对?"的意思。
说到 going out with someone，事实是两个人只要是在交往，就可以说是going out，并不一定是真的约出去才行。例如两个人是班上同学，彼此互相喜欢，互相都认定对方是自己的男女朋友，虽然从来没有真正出去过，两人只在上课时见面，我们还是可以说他们 going out。例如"Mary is going out with Craig." (Mary 和Craig 在交往。)

这里的动词pull用的非常好，要是换作我一定只会用 collect，不过事实上 pull和 collect 应该都可以，但 pull 是比较口语的讲法，而 collect 算是比较正式的用法。所以下次再遇到类似的问题像是“那个男生到底要不要追你时”，你就可以回答人家：I am not sure because I am still pulling evidence. 怎么样，很不错的回答吧?
